Happy Easter!

What a fantastic weekend! It was such a relaxing and wonderful weekend! The pictures speak for themselves :)

He is a proud little boy! Decorating Easter eggs ranks right up there with...eating...
So, we took a break from coloring eggs for a snack.
Ellie wasn't all that excited about the craziness that comes from lots of candy, so he took a nap.
Grandma and Grandpa helped Dylan look through the basket that they got for him.
Give the bubble maker a chance!
Grandma's cookies are beautiful and delicious!!!
We made a fort and were tricking people!
The eggs were everywhere!!!!!!!!!!

Sure chocolate first thing in the AM is good for you!
We had so much fun finding all of these eggs...the Easter Bunny knows how to hide 'em!
Dylan got all of us with his bubbles.
Everyone wants a piece of Uncle Stephen.
so much fun!
We had a great time with the cousins!
The weekend was PERFECT! Happy Easter to everyone!

What a resolution...

Right, so my resolution was to blog at least once a week. That clearly didn't work. I am re-committing now because I have so much fun reading my friend's blogs and want to share our story as well :) So, really, I am going to post once per week.

This spring is off to a crazy start, both the weather and all of the action in our lives. We are on the move with Dylan all the time. As soon as we get home we play outside and do all sorts of adventurous things.
We are getting very excited for the Easter Bunny to arrive. The next few pictures are of our crafts that we have been working on to get ready for the bunny.

Dylan, as you probably know, loves to dress up in costumes. He calls this one his Easter dress.
Happy Easter to you all!

Outdoor Fun!

This family loves to be outside, no matter the conditions out there. It is so much fun to play in the snow. We got season passes at the snow tubing park right by our house (at Double J) and literally spent the day there yesterday.

This past week was busy as always. I try to get as many pictures as possible but often picking up the camera is not in the cards as I am diving to save something from falling or Dylan from getting hurt. Who needs the gym when you have a 3 year old?

Dylan LOVES playing at "Aunt" Barb's (his child care provider). We feel so lucky to have such a wonderful place for him to play while we are at work.

Okay...New Year's Resolution...#1

I am making a resolution to post at least 1 time per week on this blog (I missed week one but who is counting). I just signed in after quite some time and LOVED reading about funny things going on in our lives.

I noticed that I wrote several times about limiting Dylan's movie watching, but the kid seriously loves movies so we use them as rewards for doing great things such as using the potty. :) You gotta start somewhere with potty training. Last night he said to me, "If you want to go out there and freeze to death, go ahead. Your on your own!" I was wondering what the heck he was talking about because I hadn't said anything about going outside. He said, "Mike says that." OHHHHH Monsters Inc. Got it!

We had the most wonderful Christmas this year. Lots of time with family and friends and rest...what we needed most of all. Another one of our resolutions, B-A-L-A-N-C-E, recognize what you can do, and put your time and energy in to doing it well. We are striving to live balanced for our family to enjoy every moment.

Happy Memorial Day!

Happy Memorial Day! We celebrated the memory of those that have served by attending the parade in Ludington. We love that little town!!
We had a great time at the beach and also at the Lindsay's beach (backyard pool). We discovered that hanging out in the backyard is much better because of the absence of sand. The beach is always a good time but the amount of sand that is in Dylan's diaper when we leave the beach is CRAZY.
Silly, silly boy!Gotta Love time with family!

Alligator Please!

Funny Dylan story that I forgot to type up last time (when I created this post) and the reason for the title of this post LOL! Dylan kept asking Roger for an Alligator and we seriously couldn't figure out what the heck he was talking about. Finally through toddler tears and stomping around the house I asked Dylan to show me where to get an Alligator. He took me to the garage and pointed out Daddy's GATORADE. LOLOLOLOL!

We had a wonderful weekend. Uncle Steve stopped to play with Dylan's caterpillar tunnel. Uncle Bri and Sarah made a surprise visit to Ludington. On Sunday I had a wonderful Mother's Day with my Bean.
Then we went to Watch the Whitecaps with all of the Lindsay's for an amazing brunch and to celebrate Dad's birthday.

They had a bounce house and playground at the ball park which Dylan, of course, loved!
We had such a great weekend!

This Mommy thing keeps getting better!

Nothing better than having your child love what you love. The other day Dylan started singing which was great in and of itself. Then I realized that he was singing, "Mamma Mia, here I go again, My My!" I have video...trying to figure out how to integrate it as I write :)
It has been so nice out lately. We have spent every moment that we can outdoors. Dylan loves his motorcycle.
We actually have to jog a little to keep up...he is so fast. Not surprised at all that he tries to go as fast as he can...that is pretty much how he lives his life.
Ellie is about ready to get his summer cut. He can hardly stand to be in the house because he is so hot all the time. Literally as soon as we open the door, he is OUT! I keep a steady supply of lunch meat to get him back in the house...yell turkey and he comes running!
